CLEAT CAPTOR VERTICAL PERFORMANCE

The clip shows that the CLEAT CAPTOR will work at angles approaching 90 degrees relative to the marina deck. This equates to the vessel being nearly hard up to the marina deck. In reality, if the vessel is already hard up to the marina deck and is held there by wind and/or tide, there is not much point in deploying the Cleat Captor as you can already step off with ease.

Despite this, best performance is achieved when the vessel is around 2 or 3 feet (600 or 900 mm) away from the marina finger. Although this may seem counter-intuitive, it reduces the risk of the vessel bouncing off the marina finger belting, as well as simplifying the operation of the CLEAT CAPTOR.

The operator action has been deliberately slowed for clarity.
